Minister of Justice of Jamaica receives the Ambassador of Cuba.

Kingston, Jamaica, 27 February 2019. The Honorable Delroy Chuck, Member of Parliament and Minister of Justice of Jamaica, received at the headquarters of that ministry the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández.

The Cuban diplomat and the prominent Jamaican politician and lawyer exchanged on various issues of common interest in a friendly environment, one that characterizes the relations between both governments and peoples.

During last Monday´s morning, Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People´s Power (ANPP), held a cordial meeting with Thomas Tavares-Finson, president of the Senate of Jamaica, who travelled to Cuba following an invitation to participate at the official unveiling of Jose Marti´s equestrian statue in Havana.

Cuban Ambassador meets with Regional Coordinator for United Nations Environment Programme

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, January 27th, 2018. Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, Ines Fors Fernández,  welcomed last Thursday, January 25th, the Coordinator of the United Nations Regional  Programme, Dr. Lorna Iniss. 

Dr. Iniss offered a detailed explanation on the fundamental objectives of her office that directs the protection of the environment in the region of the Caribbean. Dr. Iniss highlighted as well the renowned efforts by Cuba in this area which makes the country a referral to the region and the rest of the world. 

Prime Minister of Jamaica receives Cuban Ambassador

KINGTSTON, JAMAICA, January 22, 2018.  Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holnes, welcomed the Cuban Ambassador, Ines Fors Fernandez in courtesy visit.

During the cordial meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the ties that unite Cuba and Jamaica, which started long before the date diplomatic relations were establish, 8th  December 1972. 

Holness referred with pride that his country was refuge to many Cuban patriots that fought for independence like Jose Marti, Antonio Maceo and Mariana Grajales.
