Rotary Club of Kingston welcomes Cuban Ambassador

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, May 3, 2018.- The Rotary Club of Kingston welcomed the Ambassador, Ines Fors Fernandez, who offered a comprehensive presentation on Cuba.

The Cuban Ambassador hailed the historic ties between Jamaica and Cuba and conveyed an update on the current situation of Cuba,  its history, culture and efforts to continue advancing toward the social and economic goals.

Minister of Health of Jamaica acknowledges Cuba´s leading role in health care

With the presence of Roberto Morales Ojeda, vicepresident of the Council of State and minister of Public Health; Jose Ramon Balaguer, member of the secretariat of Cuban Communist Party; Cristian Morales, representative from the Pan American Health Organization in Cuba and officials, doctos and students from Cuba and other nations, was closed the event that gathered 81 delegations, 27 ministers of Health and participants from 94 countries. On behalf of the delegates to the III Convention Cuba-Health 2018, the minister of Health of Jamaica, Dr. Christopher Tufton, acknowledged the example of Cuba to all the countries of the world for the achievements in the sector "despite of not having great resources, it has achieved a just, equal and of quality health care". 

Minister of Industry, Commerce , Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica meets with Cuban trade delegation

KIMGSTON, JAMAICA,  April 18, 2018.- The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica,  Audley Shaw, welcomed last Monday afternoon, 16th April, a representation of the large Cuban trade mission visiting this country.

During the meeting, held at the venue of the referred ministry, the parts coincided to express the interest to stimulate the commercial exchanges for the benefit of both peoples.

Kingston, Jamaica, 27 February 2019. The Honorable Delroy Chuck, Member of Parliament and Minister of Justice of Jamaica, received at the headquarters of that ministry the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández.

The Cuban diplomat and the prominent Jamaican politician and lawyer exchanged on various issues of common interest in a friendly environment, one that characterizes the relations between both governments and peoples.
