Glenmuir High School students visit the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica

Kingston, 26 November 2024. A representation of the Cuban community residing in Jamaica participated in the tribute paid to the Commander in Chief on the eighth anniversary of his physical disappearance.
During the ceremony, Professor Osvaldo Cardenas, president of the Association of Cubans Residing in Jamaica ‘Antonio Maceo’ (ACRJ), recalled the historic ties of brotherhood that united Fidel with former Prime Minister Michael Manley and that set the guidelines for cooperative relations in areas such as health and education.

The persistent rain could not prevent a representation of the Cuban resident community, the Cuban solidarity movement, political organisations and social movements and the state mission from attending at the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica to pay tribute to the Commander in Chief, on the eighth anniversary of his passing to immortality.
