The Revolution has been like a light that is turned on in the middle of the night

Statement of the Jamaica Cuba Friendship Association on the 63rd Anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution:

Dear brothers and sisters,

Reflecting on Cuba’s 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, on the eve of the caravan arriving in Havana on that historic day of January 8, 1959, what captivated me most of all, was the powerful and liberating example that it represented for the struggling peoples of the world, especially those in our region, desperate to throw off the yoke of oppression that dehumanize their day-day existence.

Jamaica salutes friendship with Cuba on anniversary of bilateral relations

The example of the Bronze Titan remains in Jamaica 125 years after his death

Workers from the Cuban Embassy in Jamaica returned to the bust of Maceo located in the National Heroes Park, in the centre of Kingston, to pay tribute to the Bronze Titan 125 years after his fall in combat for the independence of Cuba.

Kingston, Jamaica, 7 December 2021. Antonio Maceo is one of those names that unites Cuba and Jamaica, and that shows the strong geographical, historical and solidarity bonds that unite both Caribbean islands.

Presented in Jamaica the documentary ‘Fidel: The Untold Story’

Last Sunday in the evening, the voice of the Commander-in-Chief was heard again in Jamaica. About thirty Jamaican friends and members of the Cuban State Mission gathered at the Embassy premises to enjoy watching the documentary ‘Fidel: The Untold Story’, by Estela Bravo, on the 20th anniversary of its premiere and the fifth of the passing of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.
