Political Science students at Leiden University in the Netherlands discuss Cuban foreign policy

The Hague, August 20, 2025. On Wednesday morning, political science students at Leiden University in the Netherlands held a wide-ranging discussion on Cuban foreign policy, its principles, values, and history, as well as the current challenges facing the Greater Antilles. The Second Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands, Ana María Ortega Báez, participated in the discussion.

Statements by the New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) at the Third Annual Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba in the Netherlands

The Hague, August 16, 2025. The New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) participated in the Third Annual Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba in the Netherlands, held as part of the celebrations for the centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the First Communist Party of Cuba. On that occasion, it made the following statement:

The Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands pays tribute to Commander Fidel Castro on the 99th anniversary of his birth.

The Hague, August 13, 2025. On the 99th anniversary of the birth of the Commander in Chief, the staff of the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands gathered to pay him a heartfelt tribute.

The political and cultural event was opened by the Cuban Ambassador, Eva Yelina Silva Walker, who referred to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution as a man of thought and action, whose legacy is a source of inspiration and encouragement for present and future generations of Cubans.

Performance of the Havana Lyceum Orchestra in the Netherlands

Amsterdam, August 11, 2025. The main hall of the Concert Gebouw in the Dutch capital welcomed the Cuban ensemble, the Havana Lyceum Orchestra, with their performance of "Mozart and Mambo."

The evening offered to the Dutch audience, an excellent combination of Mozart's work with Cuban rhythms and composers. The program included important works such as El Bodeguero (Richard Egües), Mozart's Symphony No. 33 in B-flat, and the internationally renowned "Guatanamera," which closed the evening.
