A new group of professors from the University of Havana arrives in Bø as part of a collaboration project with the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN)

A new group of professors from the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana joined the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) in Bø in recent days, within the framework of the cooperation project “ Ecological Connections: Cultural Studies in Cuba and Norway (ECOCON)”, existing between both university centers.

Cuban Ambassador meets with Political Adviser of the Norwegian Labour Party for Foreign Affairs and Defense

Oslo, June 4, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, held a meeting with Jørn Wichne Pedersen, Political Adviser of the Labour Party for Foreign Affairs and Defense.

The diplomat took the opportunity to address issues of interest to Cuba at the current conjuncture, as well as to express the will to work for the development of ties with that important Norwegian political party within the framework of the relations existing between both countries. The Ambassador of Cuba meets with officials of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD)

Oslo, June 1st, 2023. The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, held a meeting with Astrid Thesen Tveteraas, head of the Food Section, Department of Climate and Environment, of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).

The Cuban diplomat learned about the Norway´s strategy on promotion of food security as part of its official development aid policy. The information regarding the cooperation program "Agriculture for Development", which will be launched shortly by NORAD based on the aforementioned strategy, was of particular interest.

Cuban ambassador congratulates Norwegian Foreign Minister on the occasion of National Day

Oslo, May 17, 2023. The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, attended a reception to celebrate today, May 17, the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway (Constitution Day). In it, the diplomat had the opportunity to get in touch with important personalities of the country, among them the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anniken Huitfeldt, to whom she conveyed cordial congratulations for such a significant date.
