Ambassador visits the exhibition "America, present, past, identity", with the presence of Cuba, at the Historical Museum of the University of Oslo

Oslo, March 6, 2023. This weekend, the ambassador of Cuba to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, visited the exhibition "America, present, past and identity", at the Historical Museum of the University of Oslo, dedicated mainly to the peoples of the American continent, especially the indigenous ones.

With the emotion that implies being so close to elements that evoke Cuban identity and culture in such a distant country, the diplomat paid special attention to the showcase dedicated to Santeria in Cuba.

Cuba and Norway review issues on the bilateral agenda

Oslo, March 1, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, made a new visit to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On this occasion, she held a working meeting with John Petter Opdahl, who, after completing his mission as Ambassador of Norway to Colombia, took over the desk of Cuba at  the Section for Latin America and Caribbean.

They reviewed the main issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as matters of interest at the multilateral level.

Both showed their willingness to work together for the development of the relations between the two countries.

Congratulations for His Majesty The King of Norway on the occasion of his birthday

Oslo, February 21st, 2023. On the occasion of the birthday of His Majesty the King Harald V of Norway, the Ambassador of Cuba, Mrs. Maité Rivero Torres, had the honour to convey sincere congratulations on behalf of the Cuban Government and people, and on her own behalf.

Ambassador to Norway exchanges with Director General of Multilateral Affairs of the Foreign Ministry

Oslo, February 17, 2023. The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, held a meeting with Merete Fjeld Brattested, general director of Multilateral Affairs of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Issues of interest for Cuba in the multilateral field were addressed during the exchange, which took place in a cordial atmosphere, in correspondence with the existing cooperation between the two countries in international organizations, mainly at the United Nations.
