Cuba at the “San Fiesta Festival” in Sandvika, Norway

Oslo, June 12, 2022. This weekend Cuba was present at the "San Fiesta Festival" in Sandvika, whose edition this year was dedicated to Latin America.

The attending public was attracted by the sample of emblematic products such as cigars and rum, as well as by books on several topics and records by outstanding exponents of the Cuban music.

It was an excellent opportunity to promote Cuban culture, history and identity, and also to promote the bounties of Cuba as a tourist destination.

Young participant in the International Brigade “May Day” shares his experiences after returning to Norway

Oslo, June 8, 2022. Paulius Eidukas, a member of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association, made a presentation about his recent visit to Cuba for taking part in the XV International Brigade “May Day”, the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba and the VII International Seminar for Peace and the Abolition of Foreign Military Bases, events held from April 23 to June 5.

Ambassador of Cuba exchanges with President of the Norwegian Communist Party (NKP)

Oslo, June 7, 2022. Within the framework of the 31st Congress of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP), the Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, held a fraternal meeting with Runa Evensen, president of that political organization.

The Ambassador thanked the leader of NKP for its permanent support to Cuba and its revolutionary process. Likewise, she conveyed the will to work together for strengthening the existing relations between that Party and the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC).

Ambassador of Cuba participates in the 31st Congress of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP)

Oslo, June 7, 2022. The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, participated in the 31st Congress of the Norwegian Communist Party (NKP), held from 4 to 6 June, in the city of Bergen.

The Ambassador made a statement in which she greeted the delegates to the Congress and wished them success in their deliberations. She also thanked the NKP for its permanent support to Cuba, particularly in the current times marked by the tightening of the blockade against the country and a destabilization campaign promoted by the US government with the aim of overthrowing the Cuban Revolution.

Cuban deputy promotes development of parliamentary relations between Cuba and Norway

Oslo, June 4th. 2022. Leobanys Ávila Góngora, deputy to the National Assembly of the People's Power and member of the Secretariat of the Central Workers´ Union of Cuba (CTC), held a meeting with Trine Lise Sundnes, member of the Norwegian Parliament for the Labour Party, where she is part of the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Affairs.
