Ambassador in Norway exchanges with director of The Island Rum Company AS.

Oslo, May 25, 2022. The Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, held a meeting with Mr. Tore Villard, member of the Board of Directors of the Norwegian company The Island Rum Company AS.

During the meeting, the Ambassador and Mr. Villard exchanged information about the origins and progress of the joint venture Ron Vigía S.A., established in 2020 between the Spanish company Island Rum Brands SL, a subsidiary of The Island Rum Company, and Zerus, society sponsored by the Cuban sugar business group AZCUBA.

Ambassador attends meeting with Norwegian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and International Development and Nordic Cooperation

Oslo, May 18, 2022. As part of the program of activities organized for the Diplomatic Corps to mark the celebration of the Norwegian National Day on May 17, the ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, attended a meeting with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Anniken Huitfeldt, and of International Development and Nordic Cooperation, Anne Beathe Tvinnereim.

In the meeting, Minister Huitfeldt made a speech in which she addressed the main lines of Norwegian foreign policy in the current international context.

Cuban Ambassador congratulates the Prime Minister of Norway

Oslo, May 17, 2022. In one of the activities organized to celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway today, the ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, had the opportunity to briefly exchange with the Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre.

The Cuban diplomat said to the Prime Minister that it was a great honor for her to greet him on such a significant date. She took the opportunity to convey cordial congratulations and best wishes to the Norwegian Government and people. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)

Cuba present in the celebrations for the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway

Oslo, May 17, 2022. The Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, took part in the different activities that, throughout the day, took place on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway (Constitution Day).

Early in the morning, the Cuban diplomat went to the Royal Palace, where she signed a message in which she conveyed sincere congratulations to His Majesty the King and the royal family, as well as the Norwegian Government and people, on the occasion of such a significant date.
