Oslo, February 24, 2022. The Annual Meeting of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association ended with the presentation of the book “Norwegian Sailors in Cuba. Stories about Norwegian shipping in Latin America over 150 years”, by its author, Terje Enger. In this way, a special tribute was paid to one of the most relevant figures in the history of the Association, highly respected and admired by all.

The Association of Friendship with Cuba in Norway held its Annual Meeting, which was an opportunity to review the work carried out in the last year and propose and approve the objectives and guidelines for the next period, in order to improve the Organization´s internal functioning and performance.
Oslo, February 21st, 2022. On the occasion of the 85th birthday of His Majesty the King Harald V of Norway, the Ambassador Maité Rivero Torres had the honor to visit the Royal Palace to convey sincere congratulations on behalf of the Cuban Government and people, and on her own behalf.

With the aim of strengthening the work of solidarity with Cuba in Norway and developing relations with one of its main actors, a virtual meeting was held between the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and the Association of Friendship with Cuba in the Nordic country.

It was an honor for the second secretary, Mr. Daffne Mirabal García, to participate in the commemorative activity organized by the Embassy of Venezuela for the 30th anniversary of the rebellion of February 4 (4F) of 1992, led by Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, which opened a stage of profound changes in the history of that sister nation.
