Cuban President visits Egypt's stand at Health for All Fair

Cairo, April 26, 2025. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, visited the Egyptian stand at the Health for All Exhibition Fair, held within the framework of the V Cuba-Health 2025 Congress.

The Cuban President exchanged with members of the Egyptian delegation participating in the event, whom he thanked for their participation and for their interest in working with Cuba for the health of our peoples. Díaz-Canel ratified the interest of Cuba in continuing to work for the development of cooperation relations between the two countries.

Cuban Ambassador to Egypt signs book of condolences for the death of Pope Francis

Cairo, April 24, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to Egypt, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, signed this morning, at the nunciature headquarters in this capital, the book of condolences for the death of His Holiness Pope Francis.

In his message, the Cuban diplomat conveyed on behalf of the Cuban people and government the most heartfelt condolences to the Holy See and all Catholics around the world. He also highlighted Pope Francis' commitment to the poor and the most disadvantaged, as well as his struggle for social justice, and his commitment to peace and solidarity among human beings.

Important delegation from Egypt participates in Cuba-Health 2025

Cairo, April 21, 2025. An important delegation from Egypt is participating, starting this April 21, in the Cuba-Health 2025 Congress, which will take place in Havana between the 21st and 25th of this month.

The delegation from the land of the Pharaohs will be headed by Dr. Ali Mohamed Elghamrawy, president of the Egyptian Medicines Authority, who holds the rank of Minister. He will be accompanied by Dr. Hatem Amer, Deputy Minister of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, and the top executives of Medical Union Pharmaceutical.

Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram Gate highlights Cuba's health system and denounces US campaign against Cuban medical missions

Cairo, April 20, 2025. The Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram Gate today highlighted the achievements of the Cuban health system and denounced a new US campaign against the Caribbean island's cooperation in that sector with other countries.

In an opinion article signed by prominent journalist Kamal Gaballa, the newspaper pointed out that this Latin American nation has trained and experienced personnel in the field of health and education, which “is being used in other countries in need”.

Cuban Ambassador holds meeting with directors of the Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association

Cairo, April 20, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, held a cordial meeting with the directors of the Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association, with whom he exchanged on various issues of interest.

The Cuban diplomat updated the members of the Association on the complex situation Cuba is going through due to the tightening of the blockade and the imposition of unprecedented sanctions that have caused shortages of fuel, food and medicines.
