Meeting with the Egyptian politician Amr Moussa

The Ambassador of Cuba, Tania Aguiar Fernandez, held a cordial meeting with the renowned Egyptian politician Amr Moussa, who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, from 1991 to 2001, and Secretary General of the League of Arab States, from 2001 to 2011.

At the meeting, which took place in Mr. Moussa's office, the historic relations between Cuba and Egypt, which this year celebrate its 70th anniversary, were praised, and international political news were discussed.

Opening of the Caricature Exhibition "Alexander Saroukhan"

The Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt, Tania Aguiar Fernández, participated in the opening of the Caricature Exhibition "Alexander Saroukhan", dedicated to this prominent Armenian-Egyptian cartoonist, and she received the First Prize obtained by the Cuban Artist Yoemnis Del Toro.

In the exhibition, in which took part more than 150 artists from 46 countries, including Brady Izquierdo, another Cuban cartoonist, the contributions of Saroukhan to the Egyptian graphic humor were highlighted, as well as the love the Armenian felt for Egypt since he stepped on his lands for the first time.

Meeting with members of the Egyptian Communist Party

Friendly meeting with members of the Egyptian Communist Party at the headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba in Cairo.

The meeting went through the areas of common interest to strengthen the ties of friendship between Cuba and Egypt and between both communist parties.

Meeting with the Secretary General of the Fatah Regional Office

Fraternal meeting of the Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt, Tania Aguiar Fernández, with the Secretary General of the Fatah Regional Office, M. K. Ghareeb, at the headquarters of this organization in Cairo.

During the meeting, the current events of the world's political situation, especially the Palestinian cause, were discussed, as well as exchanges on topics of common interest.

Presentation of the Letters of Credence of the Ambassador of Sudan in Cuba

On Wednesday morning, March 20, 2019, the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, received HE Mr. Eltayeb Abuelgassim Fadul Abuelgassim, ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan in a solemn audience.

The diplomat presented the Letter of Credence that accredit him as Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan in the Republic of Cuba and, at the conclusion of the ceremony, the head of mission laid a wreath at the Monument to José Martí, in the Plaza de la Revolución.
