Washington, August 10, 2022 (Prensa Latina). Artists, intellectuals, politicians, scientists, activists and religious leaders today sent a letter to the President of the United States, Joe Biden, to demand the end of the blockade against Cuba in the midst of the devastating fire in fuel depots.
Addis Ababa, August 11, 2022. The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, met with the Minister of Health of that country, Dr. Lia Tadesse, at the headquarters of the Ministry. The Cuban ambassador thanked the opportunity to exchange on issues of mutual interest in health and highlighted the broad ties of collaboration established by both countries during these years and the will of the Cuban government to maintain them.
Addis Ababa, August 04, 2022. The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador of Rwanda, Ms. Hope Tumukunde Gasatura. During the meeting, both diplomats exchanged on the economic and social reality of their respective countries. In his speech, the Cuban ambassador highlighted the immense efforts made by Cuba in its fight against the iron economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States. He added that the country despite its limited material resources was able to develop its own vaccines against the unknown Covid-19 disease.
