Embassy of Cuba congratulates Ghanaian workers on International Workers' Day

On the occasion of International Workers' Day, the Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, sent a message of congratulations to the Ghanaian workers on behalf of the staff of the embassy, which was addressed to the Trades Union Congress-Ghana (TUC), which has stood out for its solidarity with Cuba in its historic battle against the blockade.

Embassy of Cuba in Ghana celebrates May Day event

The staff of the embassy of Cuba in Ghana, led by Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González, paid tribute to all the workers in the world, and especially to the Cuban workers who actively participate in the confrontation to the new coronavirus COVID-19.

In the simple act, the validity of the concept of the Revolution, pronounced by Fidel on 1st May, 2000, was highlighted. Good afternoon:

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs timely informed, around 2 o’clock today, that is, in the early hours in the morning of today, Thursday, April 30, 2020, a terrorist attack was perpetrated against the embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the United States in Washington. An unidentified individual shot at the building of the Cuban embassy in the US using an assault rifle. 

None of the members of the staff of the mission was injured, who is safe and protected, but some material damages were caused to the building as a result of the numerous gunshots.

The Socialist Forum of Ghana reiterates its condemnation of the blockade against Cuba

The Socialist Forum of Ghana (SFG), an organization that brings together organizations and personalities from the Ghanaian left, and one of the most active in the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba issued a statement of greeting to the Ghanaian workers, on the occasion of May Day; which explicitly included the call for the unconditional lifting of the blockade imposed on Cuba by the current US government.
