Ghana and Cuba celebrates 60 years of diplomatic relations

The 60 years of diplomatic relations between Ghana and Ghana were celebrated with a political-cultural activity organized jointly between the Cuban embassy and the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ghana at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne, González, received at the Embassy of Cuba a representation of the Board of Directors of the Association of Ghanaian Graduates in Cuba (ESBECAN), headed by its President, Musa Swallah.

Cuba congratulates Ghana on the 60th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent congratulations to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E, Mr. Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo, on the occasion of the arrival of the 60th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Ghana and Cuba.

In the same vein, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Mrs. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.

Cuba and Ghana established diplomatic relations on 23rd December, 1959.

Cuban film Viva Cuba opens VI Iberoamerican Film Festival in Accra

The VI Iberoamerican Film Festival in Ghana was inaugurated by the Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, who was accompanied at the ceremony by the Ambassadors of: Mexico, Spain, Brazil, and Colombia, Mrs. María de los Ángeles Arriola Aguirre, Mrs. Alicia Rico Pérez del Pulgar, Mrs. Maria Teófilo de Luna, Mrs. Claudia Turbay Quintero, respectively, and the Chargé d’Affaires of Peru, Mr. Miguel Ramírez Moscoso.
