Embassy of Cuba in South Africa celebrates Cuban Culture Day

The Cuban Embassy in South Africa this weekend, brought together Cuban internationalists in this sister country and members of the Embassy to celebrate the Day of Cuban Culture with the realization of a Baseball Game. This traditional game is part of the essence of Cuban culture, recently named Cultural Heritage of the Nation.

Cuban mission in South Africa celebrates the anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and calls for the lifting of the blockade.

The staff of the Cuban Embassy in South Africa, as well as a representation of the collaboration brigades of the Health, Hydraulic Resources and Construction sectors; gathered at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the founding of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and to condemn the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba.

Declaration by Cuban Alumni Association of South Africa – CAASA on the USA Economic Blockade against Cuba

We the graduates of Cuba constituted mostly by doctors, health sector professionals and other professions such as engineering, economics, the military, education and others, hereby condemn the injustice, inhumane and evil economic blockade against the peaceful Republic of Cuba which has been rejected by the international community represented by the United Nation as from 1992. Our South African Parliament in August 2014 passed a resolution calling upon the then USA President to lift the blockade immediately and engage Cuba more positively.
