Cuban First Deputy Minister of Education continues visit to South Africa

From this morning he began a work program during his official visit to South Africa, First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education of Cuba, Cira Piñeiro. Today the Vice Minister visited a high school in Orlando, Soweto, where she was able to observe the use of technology to teach math and science classes.

She then participated in panel discussions with the South African side on the priorities of both ministries of Education: early childhood education, teaching mathematics, science and technology, and vocational education.

Delegation of the Cuban Ministry of Education visits South Africa

A delegation from the Ministry of Education of Cuba, headed by the First Deputy Minister of the field, Cira Piñeiro Alonso, arrived in South Africa to hold an official visit to this sister nation, with which the Caribbean island maintains important cooperation relations in education. since 2002.

Currently Under the Cooperation Agreement signed in 2019, 20 Education professionals, specialized in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 4 of the 9 provinces, provide services in South Africa.

Tribute to Fidel on the 5th anniversary of his death

In front of the Wall that collects the Names of thousands of Cuban internationalists who fell in the fight against colonialism in Africa and against Apartheid in South Africa, in the emblematic South African seat of Freedom Park, the members of the brigades of the different collaborations existing in the country ; of Health, Education, Hydraulic Resources, Defense and Construction, together with the members of the Cuban Embassy, gathered next to the Name of Fidel in this beautiful place, to pay tribute to our eternal Commander in Chief, in the 5th anniversary of his physical disappearance.

Act of solidarity with the Cuban people and condemnation of the North American blockade held in South Africa

On the afternoon of this November 16 in the well-known Union Building in the city of Pretoria, the surroundings of the immense image of Nelson Mandela were filled with Cuban and South African flags, posters agaisnt the blockade, and pictures of Fidel, carried by dozens of South African friends of Cuba and Cubans who work in this sister nation under intergovernmental collaboration agreements, to condemn once again the existence of the criminal blockade imposed on the Cuban nation more than 60 years ago and show their solidarity with the Cuban people.

DECLARATION OF THE BASOTHO ALUMNI GRADUATED IN THE REPUBLIC OF CUBA.

The non- aligned movement and the reform of the international relations were formed in the year 1961 and Lesotho is one of the member countries. Lesotho then established the relationship with the Republic of Cuba.
