Head of Cuban Diplomatic Mission Bids Farewell to New Zimbabwean Ambassador-designate to the Island

Harare, November 29, 2025 - The Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, bid farewell today to the new Head of the Zimbabwean Diplomatic Mission-designate to the Caribbean island, His Excellency Ronald Mutasa.

The meeting between the two provided an opportunity to review bilateral priorities for the coming year and acknowledge the progress made in 2025, with a high level of visits and exchanges, which strengthen the foundation for continued work on projects of common interest, as well as the legal basis for other initiatives.

UNDP Resident Representative Receives Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe

Harare, November 29, 2025 – The Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Zimbabwe, Dr. Ayodele Odusola, held a pleasant dialogue today with the Ambassador of Cuba to this African nation, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa.

Upon receiving the diplomat from the Caribbean island, Odusola presented a detailed overview of UNDP projects in Zimbabwe and, in particular, the positive results achieved in areas such as community electrification, combating HIV/AIDS, and agriculture.

Harare, November 20, 2025 – Solidarity and altruism have been the hallmarks of donations from Zimbabwe to Cuba following the powerful Hurricane Melissa's passage through the eastern part of the Caribbean nation.

A businessman who is a friend of the island, members of the Cuban diplomatic mission, and collaborators in higher education, as well as a Cuban resident in the African nation, contributed resources for the delivery of medicines and medical equipment.
