Pleasant dialogue between Cuban Ambassador and WHO Representative in Zimbabwe

Harare, September 5, 2025—The Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa, held a pleasant conversation today with the Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Desta Tiruneh.

 

Perez Mesa and Tiruneh discussed the Caribbean island's achievements in health and its role in international medical cooperation.

 

The WHO Representative praised the contributions of the Historic Leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, to Africa and praised Cuba's relations with the UN agency as positive.

 

Zimbabwe's Solidarity Campaign with Cuba

Harare, September 1, 2025 – Zimbabwean friends of Cuba and graduates on the island announced today the launch of the Solidarity Campaign with the Caribbean country in the presence of Ambassador Susellys Pérez Mesa.

 

The Foreign Ministry's audio-visual dedicated to the Centennial Year of the Historic Leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, began the evening with moving remarks from the Head of Mission, referring to bilateral relations, the closeness between the two peoples, and Cuba's support for the liberation of Africa and, in particular, Zimbabwe.

 

Pleasant Exchange between the Cuban Ambassador and the Apostolic Nuncio to Zimbabwe

Harare, August 28, 2025 – The Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, held a pleasant meeting today with the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Janusz Stanisław Urbańczyk.

 

During the exchange, as part of the courtesy meetings between the Head of the Diplomatic Mission, Pérez Mesa and Urbańczyk talked about the history and bilateral relations between the antillean nation and the Holy See.

 

They also referred to the visits of the Supreme Pontiffs to the caribbean country.

 

Young Zimbabweans Travel to Cuba with University Scholarships

Harare, August 28, 2025 – Young Zimbabweans Bless Tafara Mawindi and Gugulethu Progress Makope visited the Cuban Embassy today before traveling to the Caribbean island as part of the scholarship program.

 

Mawindi and Makope were received by Second Secretary Zailin Gaulhiac Moráguez, with whom they discussed their dreams of studying in Cuba, which had come true.
