Comrade Ali El Khatib, president of the League of Palestinian Graduates of Cuban universities and institutes in Lebanon delivered the following message at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Beirut:

Long live May 1st, International Workers' Day.

Long live Cuba.

Long live the Cuban Revolution.

Long live international solidarity.

Lebanese businessmen advocate the development of economic-commercial ties with Cuba

The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Lebanon, Jorge León Cruz, received Mr. Zak Kawoukji and Mr. Assaad Haddad, President and CEO, respectively, of the International Investments and Developments Company.

During the meeting they discussed the prospects for the development of economic-commercial ties in the tourism sector and mainly in the Cuban biopharmaceutical industry and medical products.

Al Mayadeen, the pan-Arabist satellite television channel in Beirut, Lebanon, is joining media from all over the world to develop a media marathon sponsored by the Europe for Cuba channel for 24 uninterrupted hours on April 2 and 3, with the purpose of demanding the lifting of the genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Cuban people more than 60 years ago.
