In Lebanon, the Cuban Head of Mission honors the commemoration of the Palestinian Martyrs Day
The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Lebanon, Jorge León Cruz, attended the commemoration ceremony for the Martyrs' Day of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, chaired by Ali Faisal, Secretary General of the DFLP, and with the participation of leaders and members of the Palestinian community residing in Beirut.
Lebanese and Palestinian parties and political forces in Lebanon stand in solidarity with Cuba in the fight against the US blockade.
Invited by Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, Secretary General of Global Gathering in support of the choice of resistance (Tajammo) in Beirut, the Cuban head of mission in Lebanon, Jorge León Cruz, gave a conference on Cuban current affairs, historical links with Arab countries and the policy of aggression and hostility of the US against Cuba.
The Cuban chief of mission participates in the first session of the new Lebanese Parliament.
The Cuban chief of mission, Jorge León Cruz, was present in the Lebanese hemicycle, where Nabih Berry was re-elected president of the Parliament, after obtaining 65 votes out of 128 deputies.
During the brief and dynamic session at the parliamentary seat in downtown Beirut, the deputies also elected Elias Bou Saab, of the Free Patriotic Current, as vice president.
The director of the Cervantes Institute of Beirut receives the Cuban head of mission
Ambassador Jorge León Cruz, Chargé d'Affaires a.i., was received by the Director of the Cervantes Institute of Beirut, Dr. Yolanda Soler Onís, who offered him a cordial welcome and, during the tour of the Institute's facilities, gave him an extensive explanation of the work being carried out to promote the teaching, study and use of the Spanish language to contribute to the dissemination of Hispanic cultures in Lebanon.
