The Ambassador of Cuba participates in the 2026 Inaugural Session of the United Diplomatic Council.

New Delhi, 5 January 2026- Organized by the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO), the Inaugural Session of the United Diplomatic Council 2026 was held in New Delhi. Attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of Ethiopia, Lesotho, Gabon, Chad, Papua New Guinea, Myanmar, Cuba and representatives of the organization’s various regional offices, a review of the main collaboration and exchange actions promoted by IETO aimed at strengthening economic relations between India and these countries was carried out.

Ambassador Juan Carlos Marsán Aguilera handed over the working papers of his Letters of Credence, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of India, to the Joint Secretary and Head of the Protocol Division of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Mr. Anshuman Gaur. 

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the interest in strengthening bilateral relations between Cuba and India, through the development of political dialogue and economic, trade and cooperation relations.

Cuba denounces the United States blockade: a march against imperial ignominy

On December 20th, from various territories of the country, the Cuban people, lead by the historical leaders of the Cuba Revolucition and the Presindent Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, endorsed the demand for the cessation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against the Caribbean island and for the permanence of the Antillean nation on the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.

On that day, the current U.S. administration had exactly 30 days left to finish its term in office.
