The 5 students from the Lao PDR who are going to study medicine at ELAM are leaving for Cuba tomorrow.

Yesterday night, August 28th, in the Cuban Embassy in this brother country, it took place a farewell activity for the 5 students of the Lao People's Democratic Republic who were beneficiaries of the scholarships granted by Cuba to study the medical profession in the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM). The students are YAYOUAKHA HOUATOUXAY, PHOUTMANY KEOMITHONG, MAIVUE KIATOU, CHEEMENGLEE BELEE and Ms. SOUDALANH KEOATSAVONG.

Director-General of the Television Nationale Lao received Ambassador of Cuba

Vientiane, 20 June, 2017. The General Director of the Television Nationale Lao, Mr Bounchao Pichit received today the Ambassador of Cuba, H. E. Pablo A. Rodríguez Vidal, Who was accompanied by the Minister Counselor of the Embassy, comrade Conchita Muñoz Prieto, Minister-Counselor in charge, among other things, of the press.

In the meeting with Mr. Bounchao, who is in charge of the two state channels of the country, there were issues of relations between the institution and the Cuban Embassy in Laos.

President of Lao PDR Receives Delegation of Communist Party of Cuba.

Vientiane, May 26. The delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba, led by comrade José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and Head of its Department of International Relations, and also composed by comrade Yanila Reyes Paret, official of said Department, was received today at the headquarters of the Party by H.E., President of the Lao People´s Democratic Republic, comrade Bounnhang VORACHIT, in his capacity as General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. Also participating in the meeting was the Cuban Ambassador, Pablo Rodríguez Vidal.

Today the delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba led by comrade José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and Head of its Department of International Relations, and also integrated by comrade Yanila Reyes Paret, an official of the Department, was received at Lao People's Revolutionary Party headquarters by comrade Sounthone Xayachack, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Chairperson of the Committee for External Relations.

Director-General of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR receives Ambassador of Cuba.

Vientiane, April 27, 2017. The General Director of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mr. Anouparb Vongnorkeo, received this Thursday, the Ambassador of Cuba, Pablo A. Rodríguez Vidal.

The meeting dealt with bilateral issues between the two countries and relations between the Cuban Embassy and that important body of the Lao Foreign Ministry.
