World Meteorological Organization and Cuba ratify formal bilateral cooperation agreement

Geneva, April 23, 2024 - The new Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Celeste Saulo, welcomed the Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Cuba in Geneva, Juan Antonio Quintanilla Román.
The meeting confirmed the good state of the organization's bilateral relations with Cuba, and in particular with its meteorological service, the Institute of Meteorology.

Cuba participates in the high-level panel on the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) at the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD)

Geneva, April 17, 2024. - Cuba's First Vice-Minister of Communications, Wilfredo González Vidal, participated in the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development High-Level Panel entitled: "Progress made in the implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society at the regional and international levels, and review of WSIS+20".

Cuba and the United States hold immigration talks in Washington DC

Washington, April 16, 2024 - On April 16, 2024, representatives of Cuba and the United States held bilateral migration talks in Washington DC. 

Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez headed the Cuban delegation and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the State Department's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs Eric Jacobstein led the U.S. delegation.
