We call on all nations, international organizations, and civil society to protect and promote the diversity of sign languages, so that all deaf persons may participate actively in society and reach their full potential.

Cuba reiterates its firm rejection of selective and politically motivated mandates against certain nations, which are always from the South.
The process of improving the efficiency of the Human Rights Council must begin with the rationalisation of these mandates, which cost millions of dollars and have not had, nor will they have, concrete results on the ground, as they do not have the consent of the States concerned and close the door to the necessary cooperation on their part.
If there is a genuine desire to contribute to the cause of human rights in Venezuela, the inhumane and illegal unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Venezuelan people, which seek to subjugate them through economic and political means in the most cruel manner, must cease immediately.
