Prime Minister and Cuban Ambassador sendoff Antiguan and Barbudan youths who will study in Cuba

St. John’s, August 26, 2016. On the morning of Friday 26th August, 8 new students who are the recipients of scholarships granted by the Government of Cuba to study medicine and health technology in Cuba for the year 2016-2017 were sent off from Antigua and Barbuda.

The emotive ceremony at the headquarters of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda was chaired by the Prime Minister of that Caribbean Island, the Honorable Gaston Browne and the Ambassador of Cuba, Gustavo Veliz Olivares.

Governor General presides at celebration for the Anniversary 57 of the Revolution.

St. John’s January 4, 2016. At the Cuban Embassy in Antigua and Barbuda multiple political personalities, diplomats, graduates of Cuba, residents and Cubans in that Caribbean nation, gathered to celebrate the 57th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

Cuban Ambassador received by the Speaker of the House of Representatives

St. John’s, February 5, 2015. The Ambassador of Cuba, His Excellency Mr. Gustavo Veliz Olivares, was received on the afternoon of Thursday by the Speaker of the Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda, Sir Gerald Watt Q C.
