Guyana conmemorates the 171st Anniversary of the birth of the National Hero of Cuba José Martí

Guyana, Georgetown, January 27, 2024. Cubans residing in Guyana, friends of Solidarity, young Guyanese who studied in Cuba, and members of the Medical Brigade, participated in the tribute to José Martí on the occasion of commemorating the 171st Anniversary of his birth, January 28. In the activity, Martí's ideology and its importance for unity, humanist development, solidarity, internationalism and anti-imperialism from Cuba and particularly from our Latin American and Caribbean region were highlighted.

Guyana Peace Council salutes the 65th Anniversary of the Revolution

Guyana, Georgetown, January 2, 2024. Clement James Rohee, President of the Guyana Peace Council (GPC) and Former Minister of International Relations, expressed a greeting to the people of Cuba on the occasion of celebrating the 65th Anniversary of the Revolution. In his message, he highlighted that these 65 years constitute a period of victories against the unjust blockade policy imposed by the United States government.

Cuban beekeepers begin cooperation in Guyana.

Guyana, Georgetown, February 2nd, 2024. The Cuban technical team is led by Dr. Mario Octavio Ferrán Hernandez and met with the Guyanese Ministry of Agriculture to begin the training of Guyanese beekeepers and veterinarians, the creation of apiaries, and the management of bees to increase honey production in Guyana. Cuba and Guyana signed the agreement for agricultural cooperation in October 2023.

Cuban Embassy in Guyana holds activity with Cuban residents.

Guyana, Georgetown, December 31st, 2023. A representation of Cuban residents in Guyana of various generations held an activity at the Embassy, an occasion that allowed them to evaluate various exchange initiatives at the local level and with our Homeland, as part of the continuous strengthening of ties between Cuba and its nationals abroad; result of the broad and frank dialogue, fostered by the positive results of the IV Conference “The Nation and Emigration” held in Havana on November 18 and 19, 2023.

Guyana sends a congratulatory message to Cuba on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Revolution

Guyana, Georgetown, December 30th, 2023. Hugh Hilton Todd, Minister of International Relations and International Cooperation of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana sent a congratulatory message to the people of Cuba on the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution. The message highlighted the strength of the bilateral ties between both nations and the commitment to continue promoting international cooperation.
