Cuban diplomatic mission in Liberia celebrates 58th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

On Friday, January 27, the diplomatic mission of Cuba in Liberia celebrated the arrival of the 58th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. The celebration welcomed members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations and the United Nations system and officials of the Liberian government as well as representatives of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association and students graduated in Cuba. Members of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association dedicate a football game to the 58th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

Monrovia, January 1, 2017, - The excitement of achieving a sporting victory was joined on this occasion by emotion, respect and affection for Fidel's homeland. Thus, several members of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association, particularly graduates in Cuba, staged a friendly football match on the first day of 2017. Representing the Caribbean island, attended the activity the Cuban Charge d'Affaires Yordenis Despaigne Vera.

Members of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association meet with Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

In a diaphanous and fraternal atmosphere, the President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association along with several graduates in Cuba, spoke with the Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Gerardo Peñalver Portal. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission of Cuba in Liberia, in which Cuba's Chargé d'Affaires in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, also participated.

Cuba reopens Embassy in the Republic of Liberia.

In the morning of Friday, December 9th, 2016, the official ceremony of reopening of the new headquarters was held by the diplomatic mission of Cuba in Liberia. On behalf of the Liberian side the event was chaired by Mr. Sylvester Grigsby, Minister for Presidency Affairs, was also accompanied by Mr. Conmany Wesseh, Senator and great friend of Cuba. Other members of the presidency were Mr. El Hadj Abdoulaye Doré, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Liberia, and Mr. Farid Zarif, Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Liberia.

Minister of Youth and Sports of Liberia meets with Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

In the afternoon of Friday, December 9, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Liberia, Mr. Saah 'Ntow Charles, paid a courtesy call to the Director General for Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Ambassador Gerardo Peñalver Portal. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Liberia, in the presence of the Cuban Chargé d'Affaires in that African nation, Yordenis Despaigne Vera and the Second Secretary Carmen Maury.
