Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Liberia makes a courtesy visit to the Secretary General of the MPC party

The Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Liberia, Carmen Maury Toledo, was received at the headquarters of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC), by its Secretary General OR 'Neal Passawe.

The executive expressed his willingness to work with Cuba, mainly in areas such as the training and preparation of young people in the health sector, able to cover the deficit of health personnel in rural areas of the country. He thanked the visit and offered some elements about the work projections of the political organization, in view of the October electoral process.

In the framework of the celebration of the 43rd Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the republics of Cuba and Liberia, Cuba's Chargé d'Affaires, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Minister of Liberian Foreign Affairs, Mr. Elias Shoniyin, who received him in his office. The visit was also attended by Mr. Sie-Teba Neufville, assistant minister of the for American Affairs of Liberian Chancellery, and Carmen Maury Toledo, the second secretary of the diplomatic mission.

Officials of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Liberia, Chargé d'Affaires Yordenis Despaigne Vera and Second Secretary Carmen Maury Toledo cordially welcomed several representatives of the Liberian press at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy. The main purpose of the event was to celebrate Cuban Press Day, which took place last March 14, and to diversify Cuba 's ties with the society in that West African country.

Cuban Chargé d'affaires in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, received leaders of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission, who paid a courtesy visit. The political organization delegation was headed by its president, Mr. Ciapha S. Gborle, and his political leader, Dr. Nyaquai Kargbo, as well as two other members of the executive.
