Cuban Foreign Minister begins official visit to Nigeria as part of his African tour.

Abuja, March 15, 2025 – Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla arrived in Nigeria this afternoon as part of an official tour of Africa. During his stay, he will hold an intense agenda of official meetings with the country's leaders, with the goal of strengthening the historic ties and cooperation between the two nations. He was received at Abuja's Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by Ambassador Wahab Adekola Akande, Chief of Protocol of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero.

Abuja, February 20, 2025 – In a cordial and cooperative atmosphere, the Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, held a courtesy meeting with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, Bianca Ojukwu. During the meeting, both diplomats reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to continue expanding and deepening cooperation in strategic sectors such as energy, education, and health.

Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria signs book of condolences in honor of former Namibian President Sam Nujoma

Abuja, February 19, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, signed the book of condolences opened at the Embassy of Namibia in Nigeria after the death of the historic leader and first president of Namibia, Sam Nujoma. In this solemn act, the Cuban diplomat expressed the deep sorrow of the Cuban people and government for the irreparable loss of a close friend of the Cuban Revolution.
