The Cuban Ambassador to the UAE, Roberto Blanco Domínguez, held a cordial virtual meeting with Omar Said Ghobash, Assistant Minister for Cultural Affairs, also in charge of relations with Central American and the Caribbean countries, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates.
Roberto Blanco Domínguez, Cuban Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, and Dr. Alex Carreras Pons, Head of the Department of International Relations for Bilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, held a cordial meeting with Abdullah Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority. They discussed the potentialities to develop links in the health and biotechnology sector between Cuba and this emirate, as well as the catalogs of biotechnological products and services offered by our country.
A virtual meeting was held between the vice president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Rubén Ramos Arrieta, and the General Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), Mohamed Helal Almheiri. During the conversations, both parties expressed their willingness to work together for increasing bilateral trade and investment between the two nations. They also analyzed the sectors of mutual interest to be promoted and the strategies of work to be developed.

During the meeting, they discussed topics of interest on the development of economic, commercial and cooperation relations in different sectors between both countries, as well as Cuba's participation in the Universal Exposition Dubai 2020 .
Today took place the virtual signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Cuban Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the United Arab Emirates . This instrument will contribute to expand cooperation in the economic, commercial, industrial, scientific, technological, medical, and services field, etc.; as well as to strengthen the ties between the business community of both countries.
