On Cubana Plane Crash

I spoke a few minutes ago to the Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas Her Excellency Ismara Mercedes Vargas Walter to express the Party’s fraternal concern and condolences following reports of the crash of a Cuban commercial aircraft shortly after takeoff earlier today in Havana.
NASSAU, May 7th, 2018. - The Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, held a cordial exchange with the Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, during the XXI Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
At the meeting, the Secretary- General referred to the driving role of Cuba with CARICOM regarding the strengthening of the relations in the region.
NASSAU, May 7th, 2018. - The XXI Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) began in The Bahamas today, with the participation of a significant number of Foreign Ministers of the region.
NASSAU, May 3rd, 2018. - Members of the National Congress of Trade Unions Bahamas (NCTUB) attended the International Solidarity Meeting, which took place yesterday at the Palace of Conventions of Cuba.
On this occasion, the representation of the NCTUB was headed by the Vice President Ms. Sherry Benjamin and the participation of Senator Jamal Moss, along with 6 other officials of this organization.
NASSAU, May 2nd, 2018. - The Provost of the University of The Bahamas, Dr. Linda A. Davis, received from the hands of the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, a donation of 14 titles of different Cuban authors sent by the Cuban Book Institute to be part of the University´s Literary Festival.
