In May 2024, the international press reported on the formation of the Olympic Refugee Team (EOR) for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, in which two Cuban athletes were unjustifiably included.The EOR was publicly presented as a group of young athletes “uprooted by war or persecution”.

Cuban athlete reaches First Place in Triathlon Sprint Brigedtown 24

On July 7, the Sprint Triathlon Regional Development World Cup took place in Barbados.

The young Marcos Alejandro Fernández González, athlete of the Cuban National Team, at 19 years old is the 2024 runner-up national champion in the Sprint distance.

After having achieved first place in this international development competition, Bridgetown 2024, the team of Cuban collaborators who work as coaches in Barbados and the members of the Cuban diplomatic mission in this country, we are proud of this award.

Cuban Parliament publishes two new bills

On June 17, Cuba's National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) today made available to the population the draft laws on Immigration and Migration, with the aim of promoting citizen participation and contributing to the legal culture.

To that end, the legislative body included in its official website the texts of both projects, as well as e-mails through which those interested may express their opinions and suggestions on these issues.

Cuban Foreign Minister welcomes Barbados' appeal to the international community

Barbados notes that the Republic of Cuba remains unjustly on the U.S. State Department's list of countries that have been deemed state sponsors of terrorism. It reiterates that there was absolutely no justification for Cuba to be included on that list in January 2021. Likewise, no such justification exists today.
