Cuba to help Barbados grow agriculture

Cuba’s new Ambassador to Barbados Yanet Stable Cárdenas has declared her commitment to working to improve agriculture in both countries.

Ambassador Cárdenas made this pledge during a courtesy call with Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security Indar Weir at the Ministry’s Graeme Hall, Christ Church headquarters, this morning.

Visit to the University West Indies of Barbados

The Cuban Ambassador, Yanet Stable Cárdenas had a fruitful meeting with the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of West Indies of Barbados, Professor R. Clive Landis.

That was an opportunity to exchange about the multiples possibilities of strengthening the relationships between theUniversity of West Indies of Barbados and the University of Havana.

Minister Symmonds Welcomes New Cuban Ambassador

Barbados and Cuba’s 50 -year diplomatic relationship, based on unity, technical cooperation and respect, is poised to be further strengthened in areas of mutual interest.

This was the focus of discussion when Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Kerrie Symmonds, was paid a courtesy call by the new resident Cuban Ambassador to Barbados, Yanet Stable Cárdenas, at his office in Culloden Road, St. Michael, today.

First Mexican Film Festival in Barbados

In the opening of the First Mexican Film Festival in Barbados the Cuban Ambassador, Yanet Stable Cárdenas met to the Ambassador of Mexico to Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and the Western Islands, Victor Hugo Morales.

They talked about the benefits of cultural exchange among our peoples.
