Barbadian civil society organizations, with the support of government representation and the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus, convened a tribute ceremony to the tireless progressive fighter Robert ¨Bobby¨ Clarke, with a view to recognizing him on his arrival at 90 years of age a tradition of struggle and combat alongside the most progressive forces in the Caribbean, and his unwavering commitment to the Cuban Revolution since the 1960s.

Young Barbadians developed, in coordination with others in the Bahamas and Africa, an Action Summit and Exhibition to raise public awareness of the challenges and disasters caused by Climate Change and the urgency of making the world community aware of the importance of interventions to adapt countries and most exposed territories and mitigate the negative effects of environmental deterioration.

The Embassy of Cuba participates in the Inauguration of the XXXIV Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championship in Barbados.

On the occasion of the celebration of the XXXIV Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championship in Barbados, the Embassy of Cuba attended the opening of the games in the Swimming Pool Complex of the National Gymnasium, together with the Swimming Federations, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Development, the Honorable Charles J. Griffith and the Director of the National Sports Council, Neil Murrell.
