The Embassy of Cuba participates in the Inauguration of the XXXIV Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championship in Barbados.

On the occasion of the celebration of the XXXIV Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championship in Barbados, the Embassy of Cuba attended the opening of the games in the Swimming Pool Complex of the National Gymnasium, together with the Swimming Federations, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Development, the Honorable Charles J. Griffith and the Director of the National Sports Council, Neil Murrell.

The Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Barbados, Vera Lucia dos Santos Caminha Campetti, received a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Sergio de Jesús Jorge Pastrana. In the meeting, both shared about the long history of social and cultural relations of both countries and the relationship of both with all of the Caribbean.

Cuba participates in the Meeting of Caribbean Customs Authorities in Barbados.

The ordinary meeting of the Caribbean Customs technical cooperation agency took place in Barbados, in which the issues of regional collaboration in this important cross-border control activity were updated. Cuba is an active part of this multilateral collaboration mechanism. The agreements of the meeting continue and update a dynamic of collaborative work of several decades.

The Cuban Ambassador visits the Minister of Finances of Barbados

The Ambassador of Cuba was received on a courtesy visit by the Minister of Finance of Barbados, the Honorable Ryan Straughn, M.P. with whom he addressed various aspects of bilateral relations and analyzed economic and financial issues in the region. The Minister thanked the cooperation received by Barbados in confronting the pandemic with the support of Cuban medical personnel and also reviewed various aspects of the historic cooperative relationship between the two countries, which this year arrive at the fiftieth anniversary of diplomatic relations.
