Multi-destination tourism: connecting nations

Kingston, 15 October 2025. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, held a farewell meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Jamaica, the Honourable Edmund Bartlett, MP.

During the exchange, both parties recognised the historic relations that unite the peoples of Cuba and Jamaica, as well as the importance of continuing to promote multi-destination tourism for the development of both nations and the Caribbean region in general, in a context where cooperation rather than competition between tourist destinations should prevail.

The Third International Meeting of Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements Began in Cuba with the Participation of the Editor-in-Chief of the Norwegian Newspaper Friheten

Oslo, October 16, 2025. Yesterday, October 15, the Third International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements began in Havana. A transcendental and necessary event bringing together more than 100 delegates from 36 nations, including Odd-Jarl Gerhardsen, editor-in-chief of Friheten, the newspaper of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP).

Representative of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) Visits Norway

Oslo, October 16, 2025. Elizabeth Ribalta Rubiera, from the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), visited Norway at the invitation of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association, as part of a tour that also took her to Sweden and Denmark.

Upon her arrival on the 13th, she participated in the event organized by the Association to pay tribute to Ernesto Che Guevara, on the 58th anniversary of his capture and subsequent assassination.

The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of South Africa presented his Copies of the Letters of Credence

Pretoria, 16 October 2025. On Thursday afternoon, Mr Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo presented to Mr Clayson Monyela, Acting Chief of State Protocol at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), the Copies of the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of South Africa.
