South Africa present at the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba

Havana, 2 May 2025 - 900 delegates from 39 countries gathered in Havana for the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, where they reaffirmed their commitment to the struggle for sovereignty, social justice and solidarity among peoples to confront neo-fascism. The Friends of Cuba Society in South Africa, FOCUS, was there.

EKONOMOS Magazine discusses opportunities in Cuba

 

Sydney, 2 May 2025. The Australian magazine EKONOMOS included in its latest edition, articles related to the possibilities of developing business and investment in important areas of the Cuban economy.

The publication highlighted events such as FIT Cuba, Cuba Health and Geosciences as opportunities to develop trade relations in the field of tourism, biotechnology, health and mining with the largest of the Antilles.

Cuban Ambassador participates in ABSC Annual Gala 

Sydney, 2 May 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia participated in the Annual Gala of the Australian Business Summit Council, an organization dedicated to the promotion of business and investment. During the event she was received by the President of the ABSC Frank Alafaci with whom she exchanged on the possibilities of cooperation.

At the event, which was also attended by members of the diplomatic corps and the business sector in Australia, there was an exchange of views on business opportunities in various areas of the Cuban economy.

Progress in academic collaboration for the preservation of historical documents in Cub

Cuban doctor living in the UK participates in the 1st Forum "Cubans Living Abroad for Health".

The digitisation of the historical documents held by the National Archive will make these records, which constitute a key source for the study of the colonial period of Cuba's history in the 21st century, available to the international academic community.

London, 2 May 2025 - Cuba and the United Kingdom are strengthening their collaboration in the preservation of documentary heritage through the digitisation project of the Prisoners' Record Books of the Royal Prison of Havana, as part of the British Library's Endangered Archives programme.

A Cuban music concert closes the Latin American and Caribbean Cultural Festival in Qatar.

(Doha, May 2, 2025) – The Cuban Embassy in Qatar, in coordination with the Katara Cultural Foundation and within the framework of the Latin American and Caribbean Cultural Festival, organized a concert by the Cuban musical group 2 D'Cuba at the Drama Theater in Doha.
The event was attended by Maryam Al Saad, Director of International Affairs at Katara, as well as members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Doha, officials from various Cuban institutions, Cuban health professionals, members of the Cuban community, and the general public.
