Cuba participates in a meeting on the Ethics of Neurotechnology

Paris, May 16, 2025. The Permanent Delegation of Cuba to UNESCO participated, from May 12 to 16, in the Intergovernmental Meeting of Experts for the Preparation of a Final Draft Recommendation on the Ethics of Neurotechnology, held at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris.

Through its active participation in this process, Cuba reaffirms its commitment to strengthening international ethical frameworks for the use of emerging technologies, in support of sustainable human development and the defense of fundamental rights.

The Ambassador of Cuba congratulates Norwegian authorities on Norway´s National Day

Oslo, May 17, 2025. At the reception that took place on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway at the Government Guest House, the Ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, had the opportunity to greet important personalities from the Norwegian government, including the Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Espen Barth Eide, and the Minister of International Development, Åsmund Grøver Aukrust.

She extended cordial congratulations to all of them on such a significant date on behalf of the Cuban Government and people.

The Ambassador of Cuba participates in activities on the occasion of Norway's National Day

Oslo, May 17, 2025. Along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps, the Cuban Ambassador Maité Rivero Torres took part in various activities that took place today to celebrate Norway's National Day.

Early this morning, the Cuban diplomat went to the Royal Palace, where she wrote a message conveying sincere congratulations to His Majesty The King and the other members of the Royal House, as well as to the Norwegian Government and people.

The XVIII National Meeting of Cubans Residing in Canada was held in Montreal

The city of Montreal hosted, this Saturday, the XVIII National Meeting of Cubans Residing in Canada, which was attended by members of associations from all over the country and was dedicated to José Martí, Cuba's National Hero, 130 years after his fall in combat and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Canada.

Just two days before the 130th anniversary of the fall in combat of our National Hero José Martí, representatives of Cuban associations from all over the country will meet in Montreal to take stock of the work done in the last year and proposals for the future, as well as to discuss the main events of the current national situation.
