Claim against the blockade on Cuba beats in Johannesburg

Johannesburg, October 27, 2025.- In the context of the United Nations General Assembly vote on the resolution demanding an end to the blockade on Cuba, the “Week Against the Blockade” was inaugurated in South Africa. A billboard displaying images and videos has also been unveiled, adorning the streets of Johannesburg with a clear message: Drop the blockade.

Cuban Ambassador attends activities of the 47th ASEAN Summit

Kuala Lumpur, October 27, 2025. Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández attended the opening of the 47th Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), under the rotating presidency of Malaysia.

Following this 47th Summit, ASEAN, as a regional bloc for political, economic, and sociocultural integration, has a new member: Timor-Leste, displaying its logo: "Inclusivity and Sustainability."

Cuba is honored to be a member of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).

Egyptian media expose damage caused by US blockade of Cuba

Cairo, October 26, 2025. A dozen Egyptian newspapers have reported on the press conference given on October 22 by Cuban Ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga.

The published articles reported that on October 28, Cuba will once again submit to a vote in the UN General Assembly a draft resolution calling for an end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States. They also highlighted the great damage caused by the blockade imposed on Cuba for more than six decades, which at current prices amounts to more than $170.677 billion, equivalent to $2.1 trillion at the value of gold.
