The Honorable Mr. Foday E.K. Fahnbulleh, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Liberian Senate, paid a visit to the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.
Mr. Fahnbulleh discussed Liberia's economic and investment attraction policies and the priorities identified by the Committee for South-South cooperation, particularly joint efforts between the two countries.
New York, October 27, 2025. — The Deputy Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Yuri Ariel Gala López, addressed the Counter-Terrorism Committee meeting, which was established under Security Council resolution 1373 (2021), on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Executive Directorate. In his statement, Ambassador Gala López reiterated Cuba's condemnation of any action that aims to encourage, support, finance or cover up any terrorist act, method or practice.
Johannesburg, October 27, 2025.- In the context of the United Nations General Assembly vote on the resolution demanding an end to the blockade on Cuba, the “Week Against the Blockade” was inaugurated in South Africa. A billboard displaying images and videos has also been unveiled, adorning the streets of Johannesburg with a clear message: Drop the blockade.
Kuala Lumpur, October 27, 2025. Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández attended the opening of the 47th Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), under the rotating presidency of Malaysia.
Following this 47th Summit, ASEAN, as a regional bloc for political, economic, and sociocultural integration, has a new member: Timor-Leste, displaying its logo: "Inclusivity and Sustainability."
