Statement by H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, at the presentation of Draft Resolution A/80/L.6 entitled “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America Against Cuba”

New Delhi, October 29th 2025.- Once more time, international community rejected the criminal blockade imposed by the US Government to the Cuban people. Many social movenments and left-wind forces condemned the Blockade and demanded the end of this injust policy. The International League of Socialist Youth World, the All Indian Foward Block, Workers Party of Bangladesh, The National Committee of Solidarity with Cuba and The Comunist Party of India published statements expressing solidarity and supporting the Cuban people.
Amidst recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa, the Campaign for Solidarity with Cuba (CSC) in Great Britain has announced an immediate donation of fifty thousand pounds sterling to support relief efforts in our country.
According to the British organisation, the funds come from its "Cuba Vive" campaign and will be used by the Cuban authorities to address humanitarian priorities in the most affected provinces, including vital medical assistance.
Representative of Türkiye, speaking on behalf of the Group of Countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), during the debate currently taking place at the United Nations General Assembly on the need to end the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, reiterated the call for the immediate elimination of the blockade and the exclusion of Cuba from the arbitrary list of state sponsors of terrorism, while highlighting the serious humanitarian and socioeconomic impacts that this policy has on the Cuban people.
