The Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Fernando Gonzalez Llort upon his arrival in Dublin held a fraternal meeting with Irish personalities friends of the Cuban Revolution and leaders of the solidarity movement with Cuba.

Between June 19 and 21, the 46th Session of the Directing Board and the 21st Joint Meeting of the Operations Committee of the INTERSPUTNIK Organization met in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. Cuba is a founding member of this organization which was created in November of 1971 by disposition of Resolution 1721 (XVI) of the General Assembly of the United Nations. INTERSPUTNIK is an open organization and its international satellite communications system was created and operates in accordance with the provisions contained in said resolution.
