The Association of Friendship Jamaica-Cuba, through its president, Dr. Lorenzo Gordon, issued a statement demanding the unconditional end of blockade against Cuba, who’s archaic retention constitutes an arrogant rejection to the International Law, a systematic violation of the Human Rights of the Cuban people and an act of genocide under the United Nations Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of Crime of Genocide of 1948.

The Conference, presented by the Cuban Ambassador to Thailand Héctor Conde Almeida, was attended by the Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Somkit Lertpaithoon, directors and professors of the prestigious institution, as well as Thai students and the University’s academic exchange program from Europe, USA and Japan.

Cuban Civil Society Urges Trump to Hear Claims Against Blockade

Representatives of Cuban civil society urged US President Donald Trump to listen to the majority of the international community in support of lifting the U.S. blockade imposed on the island.

Havana, Cuba.- In the statement issued as a result of the XIV Forum of Cuban civil society organizations against the blockade, they stressed that this policy in force since 1962 limits the development of the country.

CUBA THANKS PAKISTAN FOR ITS TRADITIONAL SUPPORT FOR RESOLUTION AGAINST BLOCKADE

Islamabad, October 18, 2017. Additional Secretary for Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Shuja Alam, received the ambassador of Cuba, Gabriel Tiel Capote, at the Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, the ambassador thanked Pakistan for its traditional and valuable vote in favor of the Resolution presented each year at the UNGA to end the blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba. Both authorities reviewed the main issues of the positive relations between the two countries and the will to continue in the process of strengthening them.

Cuban Ambassador to Kenya was received by the CEO of the Nation Media Group.

Nairobi, October 17. Joe Muganda, chief executive of the Nation Media Group, received today in Nairobi Ernesto Gómez Díaz, Cuba's ambassador to Kenya, who paid him a courtesy call.

During the visit to the important group, Muganda acknowledged Cuba's valuable contribution to the African continent's struggle against colonialism and highlighted the historical dimension of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
