Press release: Exhibit of posters against the US blockade was inaugurated in New York.

New York, October 13, 2017. In an environment where arts and music transported those present to Cuba, the #UnblockCuba exhibit was inaugurated at the Center for Cuban Studies in the City of New York. The exhibit showed the three award winning posters and other fifteen best works of the international Poster Contest bearing the same name, which official announcement was made in May of this year by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and the National Design Office of Cuba.

Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Triumph of the October Socialist Revolution

Organized by the Revolutionary Communist Group (RCG), a massive activity took place last Saturday, October 14th, at the headquarters of the Central University of London, in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Triumph of the October Socialist Revolution. At the ceremony, Cuban Ambassador Teresita Vicente took the floor and answered questions from a young and active audience, eager to know the Cuban and Latin American reality, and made reference to the validity of Marxism-Leninism in our society nowadays.

Cubans Resident in Jamaica condemn Blockade against their Homeland

Kingston, Jamaica, October 14th, 2017. Members of the Association of Cubans Resident in Jamaica Antonio Maceo y Grajales issued a statement to condemn the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba for almost 60 years, which continues provoking damages to the Cuban people and hindering the economic development of the country, despite the claims to end it expressed by the overwhelming majority of the international community during 25 years.

New York, October 13, 2017. During her statement on Item 138 of the agenda of the United Nations Fifth Committee, entitled “Improving the Financial Situation of the United Nations”, Cuban Ambassador Ana Silvia Rodriguez Abascal, Cuba’s Deputy Permanent Representative to that institution, thanked the recognition received --together with other 30 countries-- for having fulfilled all their financial obligations to the Organization.
