Friends of Cuba in Dunedin demand the end of the US Blockade

Wellington, October 20, 2016. -Members of the Cuba Friendship Society in Dunedin, New Zealand, issued a statement denouncing the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, demanding its immediate end. The document was published in the Otago Daily Times, one of the majors newspaper of this southern region.

Condemn the Blockade in Australia

The Ambassador of Cuba H.E. Jose Manuel Galego Montano denounced the United States blockade against the Island, in a recent event held at the Embassy of Cuba in Canberra and which was  attended by a number of Ambassadors, Local Authorities, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, and Friends of Cuba.

New York, 19 October, 2016. Within the U.S. society there has always been an important number of sectors that have been opposed to the absurd policy of the Embargo against Cuba. The U.S. press has echoed these claims: The New York Times and Bloomberg have spotlighted the growing bipartite support and that of U.S. society in general in favor of lifting the Embargo against Cuba. They have even issued appeals to the U.S. Congress supporting a new policy towards Cuba based on the fact that most of U.S. political and civil sectors, including those having Cuban origins, are in support.
