Press Release: "Impact of the Embargo on the foreign sector of the Cuban economy finances."

New York, 5 October 2016. After almost two years since the Governments of Cuba and the United States decided to re-establish their diplomatic relations and to begin a process towards the normalization of their ties, there are no substantial changes in the application of the Embargo policy on the National Banking System. There is still persecution and harassment on Cuban monetary assets abroad, as well as the imposition of other obstacles preventing Cuban banks from normally carrying out their international transactions.

Chancellor of Barbados welcomes attendees to the 40th anniversary of the terrorist attack.

The Honorable Senator and Barbadian Foreign Minister Maxine McClean, received international delegations from Cuba, the US and the Caribbean attending the commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the Crime of Barbados. She was accompanied by Mr. Robert Morris, Ambassador to CARICOM, Sandra Gittens, Section Chief of the Caribbean, and other Foreign Ministry officials.

Delegations from Cuba, USA and the Caribbean in educational presentation to the Barbadian youth commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Cubana´s 1976 terrorist tragedy.

The US actor and social activist, Danny Glover, the Cuban Hero, Fernando Gonzalez Llort, the son of a crew member who died in the terrorist attack on the flight CU-455 of Cubana, Camilo Rojo, and the Barbadian lawyer David Comissiong, President of Clement Payne Movement and Coordinator of the Caribbean Chapter of the International Network in Defense of Humanity, joined a panel discussion dedicated to the youth and students of the island.
