The University of Havana Foundation announces the launch of the International Summer School, to be held from July 7-24, 2025

The call includes an extensive range of courses in various areas of knowledge, ranging in length from one to three weeks. This will be a unique opportunity for all those who wish to become familiar with the Bicentennial University and complement their academic and professional training. Our Spanish courses will also be available for students and young people who wish to participate in a language immersion program.

We acknowledge the country’s commitment to the UPR and its cooperation in strengthening thematic initiatives within the Human Rights Council, such as the resolution on the right to food.

We urge Sweden to intensify efforts to combat institutionalized racial and religious discrimination as well as xenophobic statements made by public authorities.

Cuban Ambassador participates in a meeting of the Norwegian Minister of International Development with the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC)

Oslo, May 5, 2025. Along with her colleagues from the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC), the Cuban Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, participated in a meeting with the Norwegian Minister of International Development, Åsmund Grøver Aukrust.

Norway's priorities in international cooperation and assistance for development, as well as its current projection in those fields in Latin America and Caribbean countries, were widely addressed. Special emphasis was placed on the potential for expansion in areas of common interest.

Cuban Ambassador receives the Secretary General of the Egyptian Communist Party

Cairo, May 5, 2025. Cuban Ambassador, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, received this morning at the Cuban Embassy in this capital the Secretary General of the Egyptian Communist Party, Salah Adly, and other members of the party's leadership.

In the friendly meeting, the Cuban diplomat exchanged on the situation in Cuba, Egypt and the region. Emphasizing the tightening of the blockade and the unprecedented sanctions implemented to asphyxiate the Cuban economy and cause shortages of all kinds.

The Lebanese Minister of Tourism, Laura El Khazen Lahoud, received Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz, and held a fruitful meeting where the interest in continuing to work for the development and cooperation in the tourism sector between Cuba and Lebanon was confirmed.

Both sides reviewed the excellent level of bilateral relations and welcomed the commendable work being done by both countries to promote the development of mutually beneficial tourism.
