Cuban Consul meets with Cuban resident in the framework of Hispanic Day activities
Canberra, 5 April 2024. The head of consular affairs at the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Ivianes González, met with Yarami Ramos, a Cuban resident, who works as a Spanish teacher at the Radford School in the Australian capital.
The meeting took place within the framework of the Hispanic Day, activity annually held at the school. The occasion was an opportunity to exchange on general consular issues. They also shared typical elements of the Cuban culture with the children.
Cuban ambassador meets with Nauru high commissioner in Australia
Canberra, 4 April 2024. The Cuban Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez met with the High Commissioner of the Republic of Nauru in Australia, Camilla Solomon.
During the meeting, both officials exchanged on the state of bilateral relations between both countries.
They also discussed issues of common interests and projected strategies for possible cooperation in areas such as health and biotechnology.
Cuban Ambassador meets with Ambassador for Gender Equality and Executive Director of the Women's Bureau in Australia
Canberra, 4 April 2024. The Cuban Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez met with the Ambassador for Gender Equality, Stephanie Copus Campbell, and the executive director of the Office for Women at the Australian Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Padma Raman.
The meeting was also attended by the rest of the heads of mission of the Latin America and Caribbean Group (GRULAC).
It was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and reflect on gender equality and the fight against the violence against women.
Australian teachers lend their solidarity support to the Cuban cause
Melbourne, 4 April 2024. A group of Melbourne teachers, members of the Australian Education Union, started their school vacations with a show of support for Cuba and the struggle of the Cuban people against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States.
