Cuba present at the celebration of the Spanish Day in Australia
Canberra, 29 May 2024. The Cuban Ambassador, Tanieris Diéguez, and the Third Secretary of the Embassy, Ivianes González, participated in the activity of the Day of the Spanish Language held at the Canberra Gallery Museum.
The event is held every year under the coordination of the Spanish-speaking embassies accredited in Australia.
On this occasion, the literature of each country was presented. In the case of Cuba, the work of the renowned Nancy Morejón was also highlighted.
Cuban Ambassador participates in Africa Day Reception
Canberra, 28 May 2024. The Cuban Ambassador, Tanieris Diéguez, participated in the reception on Africa Day.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Canberra accompanied the African ambassadors in the festivities.
The Cuban ambassador conveyed a warm embrace to African friends on their day.
Australian Cuba solidarity movement issues statement calling for Cuba's removal from the list of state sponsors of terrorism
Canberra, 24 May 2024. The Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) issued a statement demanding the removal of Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
The ACFS stated that "Cuba is a friend of the world, not only cooperating in the United States’ antiterrorism efforts, but those of nations everywhere".
